Emergency Remote Teaching Versus Planned Remote Teaching: Narrowing the Gap With Targeted Professional Development

Objectives: This study reviews faculty members’ comfort level with remote teaching in the Fall 2020 semester to evaluate effectiveness of professional development workshops. Method: Using survey research, we examined activities and subsequent ease adjustment 2020. Results: Following training, reported high planned usage various online tools great using them. The data reveals some differences between part-time full-time members. Conclusions: experience gained emergency semester, combined targeted workshops offered eased stress following semester. Implication for Theory and/or Practice: For institutions planning incorporate educational technology future, implementation evaluation may serve as a replicable model. It also help be better prepared future.
